Fall. Rise. Repeat. That’s How Trailblazers Grow

As the founder of La Primera, I’ve learned that the most powerful part of any journey is not the moment you succeed — it’s the moment you decide to get up after you fail. Every trailblazer you admire has one thing in common: they kept rising. They learned, adjusted, and refused to let one hard day become a hard life.
Building on our previous conversation about choosing to have a happy day, let’s go deeper. Turning hard days into happy days isn’t about forced positivity. It’s about resilience. It’s about understanding that failure is not a stop sign, it’s a classroom.
Are you stuck in a negative cycle? Remember, choosing to have a happy day doesn’t mean ignoring reality. Difficult days will come. The difference is what you do next. A hard day does not define you, your response does. Here are 3 steps you can take to keep on trying:
1. Stay connected to your Amigas. Community reminds you of who you are when you forget. Sometimes borrowed belief carries you until your own returns.
2. Acknowledge your feelings. Give yourself grace. Feelings are signals, not weaknesses. But don’t unpack and live there. Growth requires movement.
3. Get back up with intention. Every time you rise, you build strength, wisdom, and confidence. Small steps count. Progress counts. Trying again counts.
The Amigas who make epic changes are not the ones who never fail, they are the ones who keep getting up. Again, and again.
La Primera exists for first-generation women building new paths. You are not behind. You are becoming. You are resilient. You are growing. And most importantly you got up and kept going!
Today is a Happy Day!
